Office Junior/Administrator

We are seeking an Office Junior/Administrator for our small but busy firm based here in Cheam Village. The candidate does not need any prior experience or knowledge of financial services as full training and support will be provided. This would suit a school leaver seeking their first job role.

The candidate will be expected to learn all aspects of office administration and general office duties. This will include reception and postal work, updating and using our database, answering incoming telephone calls. There will be a great deal of client/customer services involved in the role and the right candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Good standard of maths and basic understanding of Excel
  • Teamwork and adaptable to changing demands


Above all, we expect the individual to be hardworking, conscientious and demonstrate a willingness to learn. We will provide all the necessary training and support to help the individual develop and increase their skills. We would actively support any candidate interested in pursuing professional qualifications to further develop their career.  The role is full time (37.5 hours a week) and subject to a 6-month probation period which, once successfully completed will lead to a permanent role.

 Benefits:

 Salary: £19,500 a year based on a 37.5 hour week Monday to Friday (9.00am to 5.30pm).

 On successful completion of 6 months probationary period:

We are experienced in training and developing school leavers, having successfully recruited two ex-Cheam High School students. One completed all exams to become qualified as a Financial Adviser, and the other is in the process of doing the same – all fully supported by our firm.
